What you get

One Price. A Complete Package.

Everything below is part of the $500.

  • Security risk assessment I interview you about how your firm handles client data, then rate what I find in plain words.
  • Custom written information security plan (WISP) Written from your answers, not a fill-in-the-blanks template.
  • Vendor compliance check I check each vendor you rely on against its own published security information and note the gaps.
  • Implementation guide A short, prioritized action list to achieve a secure environment for you and your clients.
  • Walkthrough and one revision I walk you through everything and update it once within 14 days post review and delivery.
  • Annual review when you want it When a year has passed or your firm changes, ask me and I'll review your assessment and plan.

Why not just use the IRS template?

The IRS publishes a sample plan, and it’s a good starting point. But a template can’t tell you what your firm actually does: where client files live, who has access, which vendors hold data, and what happens when a laptop is lost.

The risk assessment is what makes a plan yours. I ask the questions, find the gaps, and write the plan from your answers, so the document matches how your firm really works.

  • One person, start to finish I do every assessment myself
  • No client data needed I work from how your firm operates
  • Flat $500 Launch price, paid after agreement.

FAQ

Common Questions

Who is this for?
Solo practitioners and small teams in tax preparation, accounting and bookkeeping, from fully virtual firms to a single office.
Do I have to be technical?
No. “I don’t know” is a useful answer. I ask plain questions and translate anything technical.
Do I need to prepare?
A short what-to-prepare sheet comes with your intro call. It takes tops 20 minutes.
Does the plan really come with the $500?
Yes. The $500 covers the assessment, the plan, the vendor check and the implementation guide.
I already have a plan. Is this still useful?
Yes, and it costs the same. The assessment shows where your plan matches how you actually work and where it doesn’t.
Do you see my clients' information?
No. I never ask for client names, Social Security numbers or return data. I work from how your firm operates, in categories only.
What does the intro call cost?
Nothing. It’s a conversation to see whether this fits, not a sales pitch.
Is this legal advice or a compliance guarantee?
No. It’s my professional assessment and a plan written from your answers. See what’s included and what isn’t.

How it works

From First Call to Finished Plan

  1. Step 1

    Request an intro call

Send the form, or call or email. We talk about your firm and whether this is a good fit. No payment yet.

  2. Step 2

I send an agreement and invoice

If we both want to go ahead, I send a short engagement agreement and an invoice, and we schedule your interview.

  3. Step 3

    We do the interview

One call by phone or video, usually 60 to 90 minutes. I fill in the questionnaire as we talk. I never ask for passwords, client names or tax return data.

  4. Step 4

I deliver and walk you through it

You get your report, plan and implementation guide by encrypted email within five business days of the interview. Then we go through them together.
